Asking where someone is from and possible answers

  • Where are you/formal you from? =  ¿De dónde eres/es tú/usted? 
  • I am from Mexico = Yo soy de México
  • Where is he/she from? = ¿De dónde es él/ella?
  • He/She is from Spain. = Él/Ella es de España.

Example:

  • De dónde eres, Xochitl?
  • Yo soy de Tucson, Arizona.
